      Today in class we were put into groups of 4 to discuss each other's film openings and bounce ideas off of each other. I was paired up with Marco, Kenneth, and Lorena and I think we did an amazing job, we all shared what we have done for our project so far and it taught some things I should be doing as well and although we all had different genres I learned many things I can incorporate into my own story.     Marco is doing a film about a boy whose dad disappeared in the woods some years ago and the boy is on a mission to find out what happened to his dad as he goes back to the same woods. For this he has to create a lot of suspension which is something I had not really thought about but think that would fit perfectly into my film. I thought about bringing some suspense into the love triangle I'll try to create within the main characters, so I am really glad we were put into these discussion groups as now I have something that might make my opening a lot mo...

  So this is the official email I have sent to the artist I am looking to use the music for (Yorghaki), I am still waiting for him to email me back confirming that I can use his music with no problems but this email is just to have proof that he has given me permission, I actually saw Yorghaki in real life and I have already spoken to him and he said that it is 100% fine and that he is looking forward to see my film opening and how I used his music.

 So I have been thinking about what each person should be wearing throughout the film opening, and I have thought that the actors will have to change their clothing a few times to really show where they stand in the film and what type of person they are.     For martin, the main character, the basketball scene will be in a basketball uniform which I already have everything except the jersey which is what I have been waiting for to start the filming process, I ordered it already but it has taken some time to arrive to my house, other than the basketball uniform I will have this character wear very simple clothing, nothing too fancy since one of the issues trying to be shown in the opening will be financial issues in his home, I think these two outfits will be perfect for describing this character and the vibe he gives off to others.     For the two girls playing a role in this film opening I was thinking about going the classic high school love triangle with one ...

      Hello guys welcome back, So I have finally found the people who will play a part in my film opening and I believe I have chosen the perfect people for each role. First, is my close friend Martin who will be playing the main character who is the star athlete who will be  showing both sides of his life which is one where he is the star athlete who is loved by everyone from that part of his life and he always seems happy to everyone but they do not know what really goes on behind the curtains in his other life, my friend is an athlete in real life so I feel like he'll fit into this role perfectly and he will be good for the basketball part since he has experience with basketball.     Then, I reached out to two of my friends who are both girls if they could lead the roles of the girls who will make up the drama part of the film opening,  so I will use the two of them to create a dramatic scene between them and Martin, so in a way it will be like a lo...

   So when I was trying to figure out what music I would be able to use for this project I knew it was going to be very difficult to get a big artist to notice one of my emails when they get thousands a day, so I thought about smaller artists that I know of and that there’s a chance of them responding to my email and I have found the perfect choice, Yorghaki.     Yorghaki is a producer/artist from Venezuela which is where i’m from so in a way I feel like I’m helping him in a way too and it is a thing I enjoy helping others from my country. So Yorghaki has around 155,000 monthly listeners which is a good amount for an upcoming artist, I still have to choose which song of his I’d like to use for my opening but I’m going to wait until I have the full clip so I see what song goes best with the clip, I have been waiting to share these news with you guys.        The first box is meant to like introduce the setting, the place we are at, the weather, I was thinking that I should do it around like 5pm which is kind of like when sunset begins and since the basketball court is outside, I feel like these views will look very well in the shots as the background for the athlete. Then, it will transition to a close up shot of the player which will be like a slow motion shot where the camera moves but the player stays in the same spot, I will make sure that the player stares deep into the camera for the establishing the connection part.     After the slow motion shot of the player close up, comes the part where I have been doing the most research on.  This is the storyboard for just the beginning of the film opening where the athlete is kind of introduced and his sport, I will be explaining each shot more thoroughly in the next post so stay tuned.
